Let's Go Racing...
It's been a while since the last update, but hopefully you have all been getting the photo feed from Picasa with some snaps from our recent weekend away to Apollo Bay and the life of Sebastian :)
The weekend just gone by we headed out to Sandown to watch a mate from work take part in the Victorian Formula Vee Championship in the work sponsored Victoria Veal / Collinson Black Angus Vee.
Whilst the spectator viewing isn't one of the better ones at Sandown it was still great to catch the Vee in action as it flew down the straight a tick over 170km per hour and both races we saw Heath beating someone to the line by less than 0.200 seconds each time.
We all got a good look and a sit in the car back in the paddock between races which was great, if only we could have taken it for a spin, haha dreaming.

My F1 Videos from Friday.
A few quick videos taken on my phone of these beasts going around from Friday 26th March 2010. Unfortunately we all know by now that the race didn't unfold so favourable for the Red Bull duo of Sebastian Vettel and Aussie Mark Webber.
Vettel bowed out to a brake failure with quite a commanding lead, whilst Webber fell victim to bad timing on his tyre change (from Wet's to Slicks) which saw him duel with plenty of traffic. Webber still managed to set the fastest lap of the race and threw down plenty of great times as himself and Mclaren driver Lewis Hamilton chased the leading four, but it wasn't too be as a mistake by Webber with only a few laps remaining saw him tap the back of Hamilton sending them both off and subsequently they fell back in the field.
Webber managed to salvage a disappointing ninth place from his qualifying position of second.

Collinson's Sponsored Formula Vee.
Presenting to you in all it's glory the Collinson's Victoria Veal / Black Angus Formula Vee Racer.
Driven by Heath Collinson, Rob Collinson's son (Owner of R.H. Collinson's). This 1600cc Formula Vee made it's first apperance at Round 1 in Winton last weekend earning a very impressive 3rd place in the feature race and 5th overall for the weekend.
I haven't seen it in person but hoping to get along to Sandown and/or Phillip Island races later on this year.
The Collinson's Beats is taking part in the Formula Vee Australia Victorian Championship and may also take part in a cross over race at Mallala, South Australia.

Big Wekeend of Bucks & Sport
Been a huge weekend for the KaneMan household. The AFL grand final always marks the start of the crazy time of year and the weekends start to fill up with BBQ's, Parties, and all other events (Spring Racing Carnival, Christmas Gatherings and the like).
This weekend enjoyed some Formula 1 live from Suzuka, Japan - one of the very few races that we get to watch in the middle of the day rather than the usual 10pm race start, midnight race finishes that we get accustomed too for the European stretch of the calendar.
Saturday night was Issey's bucks party which saw plenty of Meat, Beer, Poker and Playstation Racing taking place.
I didn't fair so well in the poker tourney, always tough when there are newbies betting on everything and getting more than their fare share of luck. Not to worry as the follow up poker games were alot more fun and playing for more than just a plaque ;) Took out the game that counted!
Plenty of racing on the full wall projector with the racing seat wheel setup was a lot of fun, even if the sight of bung leg man trying to get in and out was not pretty haha.
Today enjoyed a quiet recovery watching the Suzuka Formula 1, Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel got a much needed win to keep the chase alive.
Following the Formula 1 was the Ruby, Melbourne Storm vs Parramatta Eels. Storm played a great first half before the Eels showed some fighting spirit and made it a great contest in the second half. Storm held on for a gutsy 23-16 victory.
Well the body must adjust to this stupid thing called daylight savings, my one week of seeing some sunshine in the morning has come and gone and the return of darkness in the mornings is upon us. Hopefully a quiet week ahead before another crazy weekend approaches.
