It's Flooding! VIDEOS
And some videos from Yarra Glen & Healesville from Sundays rain/flooding.

The detour still presented some water over the road, but nothing the Astra couldn't handle.

It's Raining, It's Pouring, It's Flooding!
A Sunday drive up through the hills and in to Yarra Glen presented us with this lovely sight, unfortunately for race goers there will be no action at this track come Melbourne Cup day (Tuesday).
That is by no means a small fence for the Yarra Glen racecourse that the water is hiding!
And the road through to Healesville shut off due to flooding
On the last day of October Victoria experienced some 55mm in the city, whilst the Yarra Valley got around 80mm in less than 24hours causing streams, creeks and dams to burst their banks and spill out.
This rainfall was around half of the rainfall Victoria received for the month.
After taking a few detours we made it through.
Here is a picture taken last week of the creek, next to a photo from yesterday.
And a shot of the Healesville Racecourse, not quite as submerged as Yarra Glen, but impressive nonetheless

And now some photos from the walk around the farm on a gorgeous day.
From the house headed down past the dam and to the creek with Deb, Sebastian, Lily and the two boys.
From here me and Amare headed off over the creek and up the hill, we followed the ridge line all the way to the back corner.
We saw at least 20 kangaroos hopping about through the bush which didn't faze Amare one bit, as we got closer to the back corner Amare had some fun chasing around a few rabbits, before deciding it was time to walk up and down the creek getting nice and wet.
A quick stop at the top of one tree hill to take in the view before heading back up to the house.
